PRODUCT INTERFACE DESIGN:
Hi I am R.V.LINGARAJ working in centroid creative hubb. My project is “RATTLING TOYS” .The following steps explain the brief reseach of my project.
BRIEF RESEARCH ABOUT MY PROJECT:
- A toys is an object used in play, toys are usually associated with children with pets but it is not unusual for adult humans and some non demesticated.
- Children learn about themselves and others through the toys they play with. By having access to different types of toys, they practice being well-rounded people. However, children need freedom to choose which toys to play with and how to use them.
- Below are different types of toys that help young children develop socially, physically, and mentally (from National Association for the Education of Young Children):
Hands-on-toys
1.Books and recordings
2.Art materials
3.Construction items
4.Experimental materials
5.Active play equipment
6.Pretend play objects - Age-appropriate toys

Getting the most from toys. - Tips for toy buying
Hands-on toys such as rattles, squeeze toys, balls, puzzles, beads, and board or card games build hand-eye coordination, encourage ideas about how things work, and foster cooperation and problem solving. Kitchens contain many great hands-on toys. Measuring cups and spoons, pans and lids, trays to sort utensils, and muffin cups and tins are good examples. - Books and recordings are sources of joy for children and adults. Choose some to build on childrens interests such as animals or silly words. Infants enjoy bright pictures and can soon turn the pages of board books. Look for stories and poems for older kids. Share fingerplays, songs, and nursery rhymes you recall from your childhood.
- Your choices help children appreciate words, literature, and music. To vary the selection, buy inexpensive paperback books, use pictures from magazines or drawn by your child to create your own books, and visit your local library often. Children who are read to in their early years usually become better readers.
- Art materials foster creativity and build skills that lead to reading, writing, and seeing beauty in life. Infants who can grasp a marker will delight in the motion of scribbling! Preschool children enjoy painting, pasting, and cutting. Offer large sheets of blank paper and wide brushes, and dress your child in washable clothes. The mess is half the fun!
- Children learn the most and gain confidence when their art is all their ownso avoid coloring books and models to copy. Ask children to tell you about their art rather than demand, What is it? Kids enjoy the doing and are not concerned about the end result. We cannot expect adult representations from children under six.
- Construction items such as blocks, building sets, and woodworking supplies are excellent tools for children to learn about science and number ideas. They contribute to muscle strength and coordination too. Few toys are as durable as hardwood unit blocks. Children enjoy them from their first year, when they feel and taste them, through the elementary years. Cardboard blocks, table blocks, and other building sets also lead to hours of constructive play.
- Children over four years old can safely enjoy woodworking if they have lightweight real tools, nails with large heads, and soft woods, Once again, make sure the child does the creating with your supervisionavoid kits or models. Ask at a lumberyard or pattern shop for scraps for children to nail or glue together.
- Experimental materials such as sand, water, clay, and musical instruments are ideal learning tools because children have so much control over themthey relish their feel and sound. Sand and water never break or wear out and bring hours of pleasure as children pour, measure, and combine them. Kids soon pour without spilling too! Children can help make dough clay. They love to roll, pound, and poke it. Through all these activities kids begin to understand more about math and science.
- Children can create their own music with real instruments. Babies love to shake bells mounted on an elastic band around their ankles or wrists. Harmonicas, maracas, and triangles are relatively inexpensive and can be handled by young children.
- Active play equipment builds strong muscles and confidence to meet physical challenges. Make sure your child is safe, but at the same time dont be too overprotective or your child will be reluctant to try new skills.
- Old tires and climbing frames are great to balance, jump, climb, and play on with other children. Swings, slides, and rocking toys challenge childrens balance and viewpoint. Wagons and riding toys should be matched to your childs size. Make sure the steering mechanism works so your child can control it. Visit a nearby playground or park frequently too.
- Pretend play objects such as dolls, stuffed animals, dramatic figures, and dress-up clothes give children a chance to try new behaviors and use their imagination. This type of play also helps children understand the world and how people can work together. Children like to imitate adults at work or at play.
